What is Wrong with This Picture?
Media Details
Created 11/04/1999
The image above was modified by Janet Hanlon using Photoshop. The image is being used as an experiment by Lester Loschky from the Psychology Department. The subject will view the original image and the modified image. Being studied is whether or not the subject will recognize the difference between the two images and then can correctly identify which is the original. Les chose to use famous photographs for his experiment as opposed to obscure due to the familiarity of the photograph to the general public. A familiar image should be one any subject has seen numerous times and should allow for easier modification recognition. This and other modified images will be on display at Krannert Art Museum in late November.
